Amazing Brothers

I wanted to start out my first post, in a series of many posts to come, with some of my heroes. In May, Matt and I were able to go out to New York to celebrate Dan graduating from New York University's Medical School. I am so proud of Dan for accomplishing what he set out to do and for doing something that I could never do. I love hearing about his experiences and how he saves lives every day. He is a great brother and an awesome friend.

While we were in New York, we went to Ithica to visit Scott. I am so amazed by his little family. He has 2 super cute girls and an incredible wife who is an amazing cook. Scott spends time with his family and is so good to them. He is getting his PhD in something to do with numbers from Cornell University, he's so smart! It was so cool to visit his office and walk around campus. I'm so proud of him for what he has become and who he has brought into our family!

Pictures and update to come!

Hi, so it's been a super long time since a post. I am finally done with my 8 week summer physiology class and so I now have time for things like blogging :-) I'm getting some pictures together to post, but since it's been awhile, I'll probably have to make several seperate posts. I have a ton of pictures from our trip to New York and it's so hard to cut some out because I love my family! So we will see how it all comes out. Should be up in the next day or two...

Marvin and Jaime's wedding at Zilker Botanical Gardens (These are just from my camera, so I'll put more up when we get the professional ones...)
Matt and I, look at that cute guy in that AMAZING shirt (thanks Michelle and Andrew :-)

A couple of weeks ago, Jenny and Britton Lambson (sorry for any incorrect name spelling!) came and visited us. We had so much fun! We went to a crawfish broil (with Jarron, Aly, Nathan, and Janae) which was super yummy and then we walked 6th street and had dessert.

Nathan, Aly, and Matt digging in. At a crawfish broil, they have a huge pot (3-4 ft tall) that they cook tons of crawfish in and then they just dump loads of seasonings and make it oh so delicious! They were spicy and juicy and so yummy! Austin is always having them, so if ya'll come out and visit us, we'll take you!

Hum...where to start with this one...well, on 6th street, there is a "famous" bum named Leslie. This is him. He's there every Saturday and just walks around in his very little bikini doing weird things. Tonights performance was balancing a rubber skull on a long pole...Matt did not approve of me taking this picture, he thought it was pretty embarracing to have to pull his wife away from taking a picture of a man in a thong...

This happens to be the only picture I have of Britton and Jenny together...Britton is laughin at Leslie, poor old guy ;-)

The end of February, we were able to visit family in Denver and it was awesome! The weather was so beautiful and it was SO nice to see family, thanks for flying us up!

While we were there, we were able to watch some rugby matches! It was so much fun, except I kept wanting to run out there and play!

Here's a picture of Mike after the match, they won and he was happy :-)

It turns out that 5-6 years ago, I scored my first try (touchdown) here on this field, good memories! It has such a beautiful view!

On the drive to Evergreen, CO. Those mountains are so amazing! I miss them! Nothing here in Texas except "hills"...

Matt and his mom at the lake-turned-ice-rink in Evergreen. Matt grew up here and they were enjoying the memories :-)

My parents! Carolyn was nice enough to have my family come and visit as well :-) We had dinner and I loved seeing them, they are so amazing! I know, my father isn't really smiling in this picture, but his eyes are open...one out of two, I'll take it ;-)

Moving on, I decided it's about time to put up some picts of who I work with. This is Melissa M, Audrey, me, and Melissa T. Audrey is getting married this month and we were at her bridal shower. They had a BBQ with bon fire, fresh meat, and something cought on fire...good ol' Texas party! Anyway, Melissa M works up front, Audrey is an assistant, and Melissa T is a hygienist (her husband is in Iraq right now).
